Notpla boxes are game changers for takeaway and catering.
By pioneering the use of seaweed, we created a coating that is both grease-proof and water resistant, while being naturally biodegradable and home compostable.
WHAT MAKES NOTPLA BOX DIFFERENT
A typical takeaway box has synthetic additives added directly into the pulp, making it impossible to decompose. During the composting process, we can observe that, while the board degrades, the coating itself remains completely unchanged.
At Notpla we are doing it better! Unlike other takeaway boxes, ours is 100% compostable. After less than 6 weeks Notpla's board and coating are fully degraded.

We are launching our first collection of takeaway boxes in the coming weeks. For our two first products, we decided to revisit the iconic No.1 and No.8 brown food takeaway container compostable boxes.
These leak-proof kraft boxes with a folding lock lid are also great boxes to eat directly from. They can be used in the microwave but are not suitable for freezing.
